At Suite Spot we believe the success of our business depends on the trust we earn from employees, clients, and our crew hiring. Our approach to selecting crew results in the flawless execution of our work and, ultimately, our clients’ success. In order to live up to this commitment, we rely on everyone associated with projects to adhere to certain principles and practices.

This document provides you with an easy-to-follow guide to our expectations and important topics including: who we are, the work we do, and where to go when you have questions or wish to report a concern. You are responsible for your actions and ensuring that those with whom you work abide by our standards to the best of your ability. Please take time to review our policies.

Suite Spot is an award winning, full-service production company for agencies, networks, and brands who seek a more personal video production experience. With offices in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, our team treats each other and our clients like family. We tackle everything from commercial shoots, to branded video content, live streams, 360/VR video, and post-production services. We put a touch of humanity and humor into our work. In the ever-evolving landscape of creative production our end results stand out!


CODE OF CONDUCT:

Working with Suite Spot as a hired crew member is an incredible opportunity to partner with some unique brands and visionaries. As a freelancer or contractor you will typically work directly with a client or agency representative. We gain credibility by displaying honesty and integrity through professional conduct. It's easy to say what we must do, but the proof is in our actions.


When considering any action ask yourself: Will this build trust and credibility for Suite Spot? Will it help create a working environment where we can succeed long term? Can I follow through on my commitments? We can only maximize trust and credibility by answering “yes” to these questions. Working with Suite Spot = representing our brand. Here are some guidelines:

  • DON'T BE NEGATIVE! Do not complain about equipment, clients, project members or the process in front of clients. Keep a positive and calm demeanor at all times.

  • YOU ARE REPRESENTING OUR BRAND: Please do not smoke on set or outside. Do Not wear attire that may be considered offensive or political, or act in mannerisms that are not professional. Please keep all communications with our client relevant to the project.

  • YOU ARE HERE TO WORK FOR SUITE SPOT: Please DO NOT solicit clients for future jobs.

  • RESPECT EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY: Please do not pick up or touch equipment that is not in your department without getting approval. Be respectful to the set and all the property on it.

DRESS ATTIRE:

Always wear shoes on set. Please dress appropriately. Suite Spot will not tolerate clothing that contains offensive pictures or statements. Please do wear attire that has political intentions.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Hired Crew are advised not to post anything in the name of Suite Spot, or in a manner that could reasonably be attributed to Suite Spot, its clients, its affiliates, or third parties without prior authorization. Hired Crew should be aware that internet postings can be reviewed by anyone. As such, individuals should refrain from making inappropriate, slanderous, harmful, or damaging remarks online about Suite Spot, our employees, our clients, other crew members, other contractors, or our affiliates.

SAFETY:

You are expected and encouraged to work safely including the following: reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and accidents immediately to a Producer or the AD. If a Producer asks you to do something you think is unsafe please report it Suite Spot.

Dress Safely: Along with closed-toe shoes, proper attire is a key element of overall set safety. This means avoiding clothing that has baggy sleeves or long, loose ends to avoid accidentally snagging equipment. You’ll also need to be able to move freely and quickly, so functional-yet-professional attire protects everyone.

DISCRIMINATION:

Suite Spot provides services that are non-discriminatory to individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, medical condition, socioeconomic status, or any other status that may be protected under applicable law. Any incident or situation that you believe involves possible discrimination should be brought to the immediate attention of your company or program contact. When you are working under agreement with Suite Spot, you are expected to be sensitive to the concerns, values and preferences of others, and behave in a manner that supports and promotes a diverse and respectful environment.

ANTI-HARRASSMENT:

Suite Spot is committed to a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Each individual has the right to work in a professional atmosphere that promotes equal employment opportunities and prohibits unlawful discriminatory practices, including harassment. You are prohibited from harassing others both on and off the employer /client premises and during or outside of work hours.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

We strive to have open communication and address problems in a mutually respectful way, taking into account individual situations. If you have a conflict or an issue please see the Producer.

DRUG FREE WORKPLACE

Suite Spot supports a Drug Free environment and will not tolerate the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, sale, or use of a controlled substance on any work site, projects, and client engagements.
